Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do you coordinate all departments?

We handle every department involved in permitting, including Planning, Building & Safety, Fire, Public Works, Grading, LID, Environmental Health, Sanitation, BOE, DWP, Transportation, Coastal, and Entitlements ensuring every submittal and clearance moves in the correct sequence.

We work directly with staff and reviewers across Los Angeles City, Los Angeles County, Long Beach, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Glendale, Burbank, Calabasas, West Hollywood, Culver City, Ventura County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and Orange County.

Our architect-led team knows the internal workflows, reviewers, and submission portals (including EPIC-LA and ProjectDox) that keep your permits moving from pre-submittal to final approval.

2) Can you help before plans are ready?

Absolutely. We develop permit strategy and feasibility studies before design is finalized to ensure your plans align with zoning, specific plan, and city requirements from day one.

3) Do you work across multiple cities?

Yes. We cover LADBS, LA County, Malibu, Pasadena, Ventura, Santa Monica, Long Beach, and dozens more. Our cross-jurisdictional experience means your project won’t get stuck in the learning curve of city bureaucracy.

4) Who’s on your team?

Our firm is architect-led by a California-registered architect, supported by skilled project managers, permit expediters, engineers, coordinators and all experts in navigating complex jurisdictional approvals.

5) How much time can we actually save by working with LA Expedite?

Our contractor clients routinely save 4–8 months on permitting timelines.
By submitting to Planning, Grading, LID, Fire, Public Works, BOE, and DWP in the correct sequence, we eliminate idle waiting and redundant reviews.
What once took a year often moves in a single quarter with our coordination, meaning faster construction starts, happier clients, and stronger cash flow.

6) What’s the advantage of having your expert team behind our company?

Having our Architecture, Civil, Structural, and Permit Expediting experts behind your operation gives you the power to scale without losing control.
We act as your strategic partner, coordinating consultants, plan checks, and agencies while your staff focuses on the field and new bids.
With fewer bottlenecks, you’ll win more clients, take on more projects, and lose less money to downtime or missed deadlines.

7) Do you really handle all these jurisdictions?

Yes. We work across nearly every major jurisdiction in Southern California, including Los Angeles City, Los Angeles County, Long Beach, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Glendale, Burbank, Culver City, Calabasas, West Hollywood, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, Ventura County, and Orange County.
With over 20 years of experience, we understand each department’s reviewers, processes, and sequencing, ensuring your permits move efficiently and predictably.

8) We already have internal staff. How do you fit in?

We fit in seamlessly, adapting to your structure and filling the gaps that slow projects down.
If you already have your own architects, engineers, or coordinators, we work alongside your team to manage permits, clearances, and agency communication.
If you need more support, we provide Architecture, Civil, Structural, Project Management, and Expediting services directly from our in-house team.
Either way, you gain one unified process that ensures speed, consistency, and clear communication from pre-design through permit issuance.
