A Visionary Beginning
Jenifer Carvalho’s journey into founding LA Expedite started with frustration over the inefficiencies she observed in the construction and architecture industries. Even mega construction projects, with their large budgets and expert teams, were not immune to the stressful and painfully delayed permitting processes. Developers, architects, and industry professionals were losing thousands—sometimes even millions—of dollars before they could secure permits, primarily due to navigating complex and unpredictable department approvals.
One defining moment that pushed Jenifer to take action occurred when she witnessed an architect’s client break down in tears. Overwhelmed by the frustrations of the permitting process, this client was crying hysterically, completely drained by the delays and complications. That experience left a lasting impact on Jenifer, solidifying her mission to change the industry. She knew there had to be a better way.
At just 19, she founded her first company, New York Expedite, to solve these challenges. Her goal was simple: to simplify the complexities of building permits and ensure that no client would ever have to experience the stress and financial loss she had seen. Her company rapidly grew, assisting in everything from removing commercial violations to securing zoning approvals and preserving historical sites, all while helping modern projects move forward.
Driven by her passion for architecture and project management, Jenifer later expanded her company to the West Coast, rebranding as LA Expedite. This new venture brought comprehensive services to developers, architects, and contractors, offering everything from architectural design to construction management, all with the same core mission: to remove the fear and frustration of navigating regulatory requirements.
Today, LA Expedite is a trusted partner in the industry, known for innovative solutions and a forward-thinking approach that keeps projects on time and within budget. Whether it’s a high-end residential project, a commercial space, or a large-scale development, Jenifer and her team are dedicated to ensuring clients can move forward confidently, delivering success one project at a time.

Maybe there was something in the water. Tony grew up in a Chicago suburb designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead, six blocks from Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio. He and his father would go downtown to watch works in progress such as
the John Hancock Building, Standard Oil Building and Sears Tower. It was in this
environment Tony discovered he would like to be an architect.
